Returns & Refunds Policy

Reducing return and refund requests is an important part of SWN’s operations. To ensure quality, all products are carefully inspected and repackaged before shipping.

Monetary refunds are not provided after successful delivery, as international importing, customs clearance, and associated logistics involve significant effort and cost. For the same reasons, returns are also not accepted after delivery, as returning the item to the source country is not feasible.

However, in the event of a dispute, an exchange or replacement may be provided as a resolution for eligible issues listed below, provided the issue is reported within 7 days of delivery. If more than 7 days have passed, we are unable to offer any resolution.

SWN will resend the product or offer an exchange or replacement only for the following cases when a dispute is raised:

1) Lost packages.
2) Damaged/missing products.
3) Delivery limitations due to serviceability or pin code restrictions.
4) *Seized product limitations.

All disputes must be raised within 7 days of the item being marked as "delivered" to the customer's address.

Please note that if an incorrect item or size is ordered by the customer, it will not be eligible for exchange or return. Kindly review the size charts provided on the product page carefully before placing your order, as all sizes follow international standards. However, if you receive an incorrect size due to a supplier error, you may raise a dispute within 7 days of successful delivery.

For items reported as defective, customers may be required to provide clear video or photographic evidence of the product to support their request for replacement or resolution.

Once it is confirmed that the item has arrived in a defective condition, our team will investigate the issue and provide an appropriate resolution. Please include the following information while contacting us:

Order number

Proof of purchase

Video or photo of the faulty product (if applicable)

Complete delivery address

Electronics Safe Policy Assurance – 7-Day Manufacturing Defect Replacement

Electronic products are covered under our Electronics Safe Policy Assurance, designed to provide fair protection while ensuring responsible usage standards.

In the rare case of a verified manufacturing defect, we provide a 7-day replacement assurance from the date of confirmed delivery. Customers must submit clear, unedited video proof clearly demonstrating the defect for verification. Once approved, a replacement will be arranged promptly.

For claims involving physical damage, cosmetic defects, missing components, or transit-related issues, a complete unboxing video recorded from the moment the package is opened is mandatory. Claims relating to physical condition without unboxing video proof may not be eligible for replacement.

This assurance strictly applies to manufacturing defects only. It does not cover dissatisfaction, change of preference, improper handling, accidental damage, water exposure beyond stated specifications, charging misuse, normal battery wear, or software/app compatibility limitations.

We also provide direct personal assistance for setup, app pairing, and troubleshooting to ensure genuine concerns are resolved efficiently.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. 

 

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to contact us about the faulty item you received and send video proofs or pics confirming the fault, and we shall provide the exchanged product. In the event we cannot provide you with the same product as a replacement, we will notify you immediately and ensure you agree with the replacement product. Customers are responsible for applicable shipping and handling charges for exchanges.

 

Refunds

Refunds may be processed only in cases where a shipment becomes ineligible for import (such as embargo, regulatory restrictions, or item unavailability) before successful delivery. We will inform customers accordingly via call or email, as the case may be. The time for a refund in these cases typically ranges from 3 to 60 days, depending on the case. Please note we do not entertain refunds in case you do not like the product or it is no longer required, as it is not feasible to return the product to the source country.

 

Product Responsibility & Liability Disclaimer

All product specifications, features, and descriptions are provided by the respective manufacturers and suppliers. While Sociable Weaver Nest (SWN India) makes reasonable efforts to present accurate information, we do not independently verify or guarantee product specifications, performance, or functionality.

SWN India operates solely as a registered importer and facilitator, responsible for sourcing, shipping, and delivering products within India. We do not manufacture, design, modify, or control the technical, software, or engineering aspects of the products.

Accordingly, SWN India shall not be held liable for any claims, damages, disputes, or indemnification to the extent permitted by applicable law arising from product performance, specifications, durability, or functionality. Any such concerns are solely the responsibility of the original manufacturer.

Returns or claims based on product expectations, performance interpretation, or usage misunderstanding are not accepted, as these fall outside our scope of control.

By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and accepts these conditions and confirms that they have reviewed the product details and specifications before purchase.

Approved Refund will be credited to the original payment method within 5-15 Business days.
Exchange/Replacement deliveries will be done within 7-35 days.

 

Cancellations

SWN reserves the right to change, modify, cancel, or refund an order in inevitable cases due to unforeseen circumstances like enormous changes in price, unavailability, or government restrictions on importing the order. Also, we can cancel any suspicious order where the address is incomplete or if there is no proper response from the customer within 7 days of placing an order. In case the customer wants to cancel the order, the customer must inform us through email (care@sociableweavernest.com) or by calling or WhatsApp on the registered number (+919664364660) within 24-48 hours of placing an order.  In that case, a full refund will be issued to the customer to their account after deducting transaction charges of 2.75%. Once order processing has begun, the order cannot be canceled.

 

Seized Product Limitations and Customs Delay

At SWN, we strive to offer genuine quality imported products with a smooth shopping experience. However, due to the nature of international shipping, shipments may occasionally face customs delays or, in rare cases, be held or seized by authorities due to regulations beyond our control. In certain situations, this may extend delivery timelines up to 120 days, and customers are advised to check applicable import restrictions before placing an order. Where possible, we will make reasonable efforts to resend the item; however, if the product falls under restricted, embargoed, or non-permissible categories and cannot be delivered, it is considered a shared loss for both you and us, as the importer also incurs losses in such situations beyond its control. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and no monetary refund or return will be applicable in these cases.
